Needed a wider stockpot
The 16 quart is wider and shorter than a nonstick 15 quart I have. The latter took a longer than I liked to come to a boil when making beef vegetable soup. This stockpot reduced my cooking time considerably plus needed less stirring and tending. Less time on my feet! Very much worth the cost. Electric roaster was ruled out as not big enough plus takes a long time as well to get even a simmer bubble along the edges, as the heat is on the sides. Looked at regular turkey roasting pans but were not big enough. As I considered slow cooking in the oven. Wasn’t able (yet) to find a much older roasting pan I inherited that might have been large enough. Been more about stainless steel than nonstick lately as it does last longer and takes more wear and tear. Biggest thing to obey in the instructions is use medium heat, and can turn down lower to simmer once you get things bubbling. Should not have food stick to the bottom of the pot.Omgliveandlearn
Definitely worth the money, great value
Love the quality of these pots for the price. I borrowed my nieces and after I used hers I bought both the 12 and 16 quart size. One thing to watch for when ordering is the handle on the lid. Get the one with the black grip, My niece's 12 quart did not have the black handle and it was hot to the touch when using it. I love these covered stock pots. They are light enough to handle but sturdy enough to do their job. I would recommend them.Elizabeth
Very satisfied
This 22 quart pot is just right for cooking tomatoes in preparation for a hot pack canning. It has a solid thick base. With a stir every now and then no scorching of the food inside even on high heat. ImThis 22 quart pot is just right for cooking tomatoes in preparation for a hot pack canning. So much so I bought this particular pot for my daughter as I already own one. Plus it just happened to be on rollback at Walmart the day that I was shopping. And I particularly liked the free shipping to the residence in two days.Robert
